  1. Wouldn't it be more effective if you just put the blended goop into a large (say 1 quart) container of water, let it seep/leach and then filter it through the cheese cloth?  It would seem to me that a good portion of the goodies will be left behind.

  2. I didn't have fresh onions and garlic so I used onion & garlic powder, worked just as well without messing up the blender….
2 tble spoons each of Cayenne Pepper, Garlic Powder and Onion Powder funneled it into a 2 litter soda pop bottle with 3 tble spoons of dish soap. Filled it with water and let it sit overnight then poured the 2 litters through a silk scarf filter into a 1 gallon pump up garden sprayer and added water to fill the rest of the way, and it works just as good. I was losing a few tomatoes a day to worms, and haven't lost a one in 5 days.

  3. I dont have tomato hornworms but I am planning on bringing in several of my annual flowers to enjoy in my southern exposure window and was worried about what to use to kill any bugs that make it in the house with them. I dont want to use pesticides but i thought insecticidal soap may not be strong enough. This seems like it will do the trick although I wonder if it will get the bugs hiding in the soil. BTW Scott you have such a nice calm relaxing personality I think you have the potential to be a YouTube star in the gardening field. I hope we see more of you!

  4. Thank you! I went out and used my commercial fogger and blaster my huge tomato plants with horned worms. I hope this put the rigamortious to the all… 🙂 Thanks again…

  5. One thing about the cheese cloth.  Wouldn't it be easier to close up the cheese cloth with the mixture in it and set it into water and let it work like a tea bag?

  6. Not to steal his thunder…If you notice horned worm infestations dig this. Wait until dark, go into the mater patch with a flash light and scissors or tongs. Shine the light all over the mater bushes. The worms have specks on them which glow in the dark when the light hits them. Just pick them off (chickens love them) or dice them with the scissors. Save the cayenne for your Mexican Ice Cream.

  7. Would that help killing the bugs that make my jalapeno pepper plants leaves turn yellow?  ———— Thanks for that recipe,i'll make sure i prepare and use it 🙂
